Costa Rica already knows how to deliver a reset. Now, a new 4D sound wellness resort near Arenal Volcano is taking that experience somewhere more immersive.
The Vessyl has opened across 118 acres of tropical forest in La Fortuna. Founded by Charlotte’s Web co-founder Josh Stanley, the intimate property hosts only 33 guests at a time.
Inside the 4D Sound Wellness Resort
The main attraction is the Frequency Dome. Grammy Award-winning acoustician George Augspurger helped develop the space. Inside, spatial audio meets immersive visuals and a floating floor. The floor includes 24 transducers, allowing guests to feel sound through vibration. As a result, the experience goes beyond simply listening. Guests can physically sense frequencies moving through the room.
The Dome will host meditation, breathwork, movement sessions, live performances, and creative conversations. Therefore, the concept feels more like a sensory reset than a traditional retreat.
Wellness Without the Rigid Schedule
The resort feels especially relevant for burned-out creatives, remote workers, and anyone living through constant notifications.
“Healing should feel alive,” Stanley said. “It should feel like music, laughter, adventure, nature, and being with other people. We are not trying to help people escape their lives. We are trying to help them reconnect to them.”
Rates start at $350 per person, per night. A three-night minimum stay is required.
